Le Grand Jeu – The Great Game is a collection of objects belonging to a fictional heroine – an educated, intelligent, and charming woman. These objects are not indispensable in her life; rather, she has acquired them out of caprice. She uses them at home, or, for example, when she is in contact with men. She is Sara Bernhardt, Sophie Calle, Marina Abramović, my godmother, or each and every one of us. They are weapons for women and women’s weapons. Each object from the collection has its meaning that is created by its motif, the choice of materials, and by the number of parts.
This heroine is present in every woman
The collection is constructed around the motif of three flowers, stylized into a fox head.
According to shamans, the fox is the only animal that can reincarnate into a human being without others being able to tell. Always at night, the fox transforms into a strong, smart, and beautiful woman. Even my heroine can master this art – and not only at night. The stylization of the fox head refers to Gurdjieff’s Law of Three and Seven. Three triangles connect into a skull and two ears, creating seven ending points together.
The magnolia symbolizes female softness as well as power and grandeur, majesty and purity.
The mimosa has the numerological number seven. It is the symbol of protections, love, cleansing, and clairvoyant dreams
The sage embodies wisdom and immortality. It is an important plant for shamans, who chase away evil spirits by burning their leaves and energetically cleanse the body and space.
The entire collection is made with silver combined with wood, semi-precious stones, and pearls.
Pearls symbolize womanhood. As they become polished by contact with human skin, each pearl appears to absorb nutrients from the skin. Pearls worn by girls and young women are thought to have a greater brilliance and shine than pearls worn on older skin.
Crystal is often used during healing. It strengthens energy and removes tension from the body. It is also a very spiritual stone, symbolizing purification. It should also lend us clairvoyance.
It opens up the Sahasrara Chakra, located on the top of the head, and connects us with higher beings and the universe. It is a stone that protects us from negative energy and symbolizes protection. Bishops from Christian churches wear amethyst rings.
The ruby is a symbol of sexual energy, of love to oneself and others. It is a stone of blood. In the past, rulers adorned themselves with rubies as they believed that the stones will become darker as soon as danger approaches.
This collection was inspired by the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries and the mystics, artists, and writers of the time – such as George Ivanovich Gurdjieff, René Daumal, Roger Gilbert-Lecomte, Sarah Bernhardt, Alphonse Mucha. The works of contemporary writer Clarissa Pinkola Estés and the artists Sophie Calle, Marina Abramović, or Louise Bourgeois have also inspired the collection.
The SUPERPOWERS jewellery collection draws on the symbolism of animals in different cultures and shamanism. The collection is based on five animals – the fox, beaver, horse, bear, and falcon. The fox is a symbol of female power, intelligence, and ferocity. It is also the only animal that can adopt a human form without other people noticing it. In Celtic mythology, the fox accompanies man in the afterlife and helps the soul on its further journey. The beaver is a builder. The horse is a symbol of love and loyalty, while also having the ability to overcome hardship. The bear is a symbol of motherhood, power, and sovereignty, as well as of dreaming. The falcon has the ability to look at problems from above and to find the most simple, fast, and effective solution to problems.
Each of the pieces should lend their wearer the animal superpower embodied in the jewellery motif. In most cases, the jewellery is wrought and complemented with parts created using the lost-wax casting technique. Metal is complemented with fur, leather, pearls, and semi-precious stones.

Past nine mountains and eight valleys, in a faraway land where lakes brighten up like mirrors each day beneath the sun, a girl embarked on a long journey with a handful of freshwater pearls, semi-precious stones, and some sparkling silver from rock veins. At that moment, the southeastern wind began to blow. It blew in a cloud of feathers and a girl from a distant country floated down on earth like gossamer. She was clutching something small and glittery in her hand. They traveled, each going their own way, until they arrived in a big city. One day, the wind turned. The wind was so strong that it blew away men’s mustaches, women’s hats, and children’s balloons, ice creams, scooters, and collars of their festive clothes. Traffic signs, marzipan, flower pots with lilies, mandarin trees, pearls, feathers, bike racks, and even bikes were floating above their heads like zeppelins. When the wind calmed down and everything descended to the ground, both girls, with tousled hair, were picking up what the wind blew away from their hands. The tiniest pearl, which only a moment ago had risen to the stars, was now rolling on the tiles. It bounced as if it wanted to drum to the rhythm of the street organ until the hands of the two girls reached out for it…
